Winter Camping

Spend the winter with us at Town & Country Campground! Our winter camping program is designed for guests looking for a long-term stay throughout the colder months. Before applying, please review the information below to ensure our program is the right fit for you.

Winter Camping Commitment

Winter camping requires a minimum seven (7) month commitment. Guests must arrive no later than October 1 and remain through May 1. This commitment helps ensure a safe and consistent winter community while also reducing the risk of water lines and RVs freezing during the coldest months of the year. Mid-winter arrivals and departures can create challenges for both campers and campground infrastructure due to freezing temperatures.

Application Process

All prospective winter campers are required to complete our application process before a reservation can be approved.

The application process includes:

  • Passing a background check

  • Providing your two most recent months of pay stubs to verify income

Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you will be required to sign our Winter Camping Agreement, which outlines the policies, expectations, and responsibilities for winter guests.

Preparing for Winter Camping

Winter camping in Minnesota can be a rewarding experience, but it also comes with unique challenges. Freezing temperatures require additional preparation and ongoing maintenance of your RV to prevent damage and ensure a safe, comfortable stay.

We strongly encourage all prospective winter campers to review our Winter Camping Newsletter (Click here to view.)before arriving. It contains helpful information on winterizing your RV, skirting requirements, utility hookups, cold-weather safety, and what you can expect during the winter season at Town & Country Campground.

If you have any questions about our winter camping program, we'd be happy to help. Please contact our office before submitting your application.
